She sews!
I'm really excited about sewing. Had you known me when I was 15 years old you'd be surprised that I actually enjoy plugging in my Zune (that's the Microsoft version of the Ipod for those of you who didn't know...like myself until my husband got me one for Christmas) and sewing for a few hours! I've also sewed new sheers for our master bathroom. I will say that both the quilt and the sheers are less then perfect. I fact it's really best if they are viewed from a distance!!
I'm encouraging all you others out there who've ever wanted to learn how to sew to just do it!! It's something that our ancestors had to do and it's something that our generation really should do. TRADITIONS! (I like that movie...can anyone name the movie? :-)

Quote from Majorie Hinckley
I came across this quote today and it really hit home for me....I 100% agree (except maybe the part about the sports car, that would be nice LOL) with the late Sister Hinckley!
I don't want to drive up to the pearly gates in a shiny sports car, wearing beautifully tailored clothes, my hair expertly coiffed, and with long, perfectly manicured fingernails.
I want to drive up in a station wagon that has mud on the wheels from
taking kids to scout camp. I want to be there with grass stains on my shoes
from mowing Sister Schenk's lawn. I want to be there with a smudge
of peanut butter on my shirt from making sandwiches for a sick neighbor's children.
I want to be there with a little dirt under my fingernails from helping to weed
someone's garden. I want to be there with children's sticky kisses on my cheeks and the tears of a friend on my shoulder. I want the Lord to know I was really here and that I really lived!!
AMEN!! Nothing makes me happier then helping family, friends, and neighbors. I feel inspired by Sis. Hinckley's quote. What a wonderful woman!

Slow Down...

I know none of you ever feel like you just need to slow down. I know none of you are running from point A to point B only to remember you completely forgot about needing to go to C, D, and even E!! Well...today I got a nice "friendly" reminder that I need to slow down.
I have been feeling crazy lately. From 7 am to noon I'm running like a chicken with my head cut off! Of course I got pulled over while I was driving from one patients house to the next and the whole time I'm thinking if I don't get to point "B" soon then I'm not going to have time to get to point "C" which was picking my son up from preschool! uggg....

Making the Cut

I'm attempting to "make the cut" right now. What does that mean exactly? Well it means I've got some serious areas of my body that need to be "cut" off. So I'm teaming up with Tagan to see if we can lose that last 20 lbs in the next 30 days. If I really wanted to lose the weight I'd post my "before" pictures that you're required to take so that you can have something to compare. I'm afraid I don't want to lose the weight that bad!! :-) I almost started crying in my bathroom after I took the pictures. I don't remember eating that many donuts!!
I've been doing some intense exercise this past week. May I say...I'm getting old! I'm so stiff and sore...ugg. I remember playing basketball for hours and not even feeling even a little discomfort. This stinks. Let's just hope this works because I can handle anymore disappointments. LOL Anyone else want to join our party....come on you know you want to be the strongest, sexiest you ever!!
