Molly's 2 Months!

We survived our first two months! Molly has changed our home in soooo many good ways. We love having her here and it's really hard to imagine what life was like before she joined our family. Some of her accomplishments...she's holding up her head, she's watching her mobile, she's smiling and even almost giggling, she's sleeping a little better at night but alas not through the night...sigh. BUT she does only go poopy about every 5-7 days! She'll probably start sleeping through the night and then going poopy 5 times a day! Regardless...I love my little girl!

Mother of the Year Award

I'm so thankful to the Motherhood Academy for their nomination and proudly accept this Mother of the Year Award . Thank you to my lovely children for giving me the opportunity to become a mother. Thank you to my wonderful husband for supporting me and encouraging me to be a better mother! Without them this award would not have been possible. Thank you, and I love you!
Happy Mother's Day everyone, you too deserve this award.

We're still alive

I dropped off the earth for a little bit there but thankfully I'm back. Life with baby Molly is great. She's a good baby. Of course, there are some days that I love her more then others! Here are a few pics. She started to smile pretty consistently this week so the tightening on Daddy's heart begins. :-)
Playing with her mobile
All tucked in for bed...doesn't she look sleepy?

Feeling Better

It's amazing what a little sleep and having your husband home can do for your mental state. It was also really nice to be at church today and socializing with friends. I do love to see my friends! Thanks to everyone for the kinds words and thoughts. It was incredibly HELPFUL.

I'm Tired

OK, I'm ready for my husband to be home! I'm afraid the lack of sleep is starting to catch up with me. It's accumulated over almost 5 weeks and I'm starting to lose it. Most importantly I'm feeling like a bad mom to the boys. I hate it when I feel that way! It's my own personal fear that I'm going to royally mess them up and they'll turn out to be drug dealing murderers! I know some of you have these same anxieties!! Fess up! LOL

Molly's First Easter...My First "Alone" Day

Yesterday was Easter! The Easter Bunny made a quick stop at our house and "pooped" jelly beans all over the house! (this is our family tradition) The boys eventually found all the poop. It was a cold and snowy day here at our house. We had a good 3 inches of yucky wet snow out on the driveway this morning. It was also the first day since Molly was born that I was 100% on my own. Sam is out of the country on a "business" trip. His mom was here last week to help me out but she flew out early Sunday morning (6 am) and so I was solely responsible for getting everyone up, dressed, and to church. The stars must have all been aligned because Molly woke up at 7:30 for her morning feeding. That meant I was able to start functioning at a reasonable time. I couldn't believe that I was able to get everyone ready for church on time. We had our Easter poop hunt, opened our baskets, took pictures....and I even showered for church! Amazing! However, later that afternoon I was feeling super tired so I layed down for a "short" nap. I slept through Easter dinner! I always like to fix a nice dinner on Sundays and we usually have friends or family over to eat as well. This Sunday I had planned something for just the boys and I and I slept right through dinner. So the boys had cold cereal for Easter dinner! Oh Well.

Life Changes...Thankfully

What a busy second week we had with Molly! Grandma came to town and as tradition warrants gave Molly her first bath. Grandma has given all the kids their first bath! Of course she hated it, but the boys got a kick out of it.

My mom was such a big help throughout the week. I think it was really hard for her to leave little adorable Molly behind. She's already planning her next trip out! Yea!

These are just some cute "sleeping" pictures. I love the second one because I got her when she was "smiling" and captured that cute dimple! She actually has dimples in both cheeks just like her grandma but the one on the right only shows up occasionally. We love dimples in our family! Cutie Patootie.

Molly received her baby blessing on Sunday March 29th. I cried through the whole thing! I am so full of gratitude that life has brought me to this point. I'm grateful for the opportunity I have been given to have another child. I'm grateful for my beautiful family and the love that blossoms in our house. I think Molly is one lucky little girl to come into our home and be able to grow up surrounded by family that will love her and cherish her throughout her lifetime. I know that Heavenly Father has been looking over this home very intensely for the last few years. I'm so appreciative that he has allowed us to raise this little special Spirit...Molly.
P.S. The absolutely gorgeous dress Molly is wearing was handmade by her grandma Mary (Sam's mom).
